Stylist Quits Because Designer Wants Size 12 Models

Friday london designer Mark Fast’s stylist quit shortly before the show at London Fashion Week because the designer wanted to use three models sizes 12 - 14. Th
e designer said "She was in the studio until after 2am with me perfecting the show. We are really grateful to her."

This is so sad the fashion industry is facing so many issues at once. We’re already in a rant about using more black models in shows now we’ve now reached the point where many of the sample sizes don't comfortably fit even the established star models.
Pics below of the models what do you think?

I think she knew but maybe someone said that it would be bad press or something. You never know maybe she was like a size 4 and she doesnt like bigger models Mark Fast's has gotten great press because of this issue tho!!

Personally, I think the larger sized ladies are more aesthetically pleasing in form, and the thinner models look dreadfully undernourished next to them. If I had to choose a size for myself, I would lean toward the curvier examples without question!

all this free publicity will do him the world of good.

Most "average" women would be heartened to see a "normal" woman on the catwalk and you can bet your bottom dollar that this guy will make a mint.

Purely from a business aspect, cutting out over 50% of the female population by only catering to sticks is foolish on any level.

This is just crazy! Thats the problem with people. So critical of everyone. I find it refreshing to see a NORMAL body on the runway!

I like the fact that he used some different sized models, I actually hate sometimes that a lot of runway shows use skinny models, like just because you drew a croquis skinny and all out of proportion in relation to the actual human form doesn't mean people look like that. I think the garments look great on the plus sized females. What I want to know is why in the hell the lady quit tho.
