Yesterday I got a call from a friend and I heard some crazy news. She said alot of her female friends are having sex with alot females and some males to further their career in the fashion industry. She said their getting further in their careers and she has considered doing it with her boss (a female) who is editor-in chief at a major magazine.
The fashion industry is a world of female dominance, but that doesnt mean u have to f*ck your boss to get a promotion. I guess this happens in other industries as well Its sad that sex has become a option to get ahead. Sleeping with the boss not only destroys your self respect, but it diminishes you as the intelligent, capable professional you are. You will gain more respect from your confidence and your knowledge, experience, and ability to do the job. Not only that, you put yourself at risk for losing your job.
Have MORALS You should be using your experience and ability to get ahead, not sex. It comes down to the morality that you have.
I would never sell myself. Sex for monetary gain is prostitution. I have integrity and believe in myself. If you don't respect yourself, others won't respect you.

Besides, if we are going to use sex as a leverage point, where does that begin and end and what kind of consequence would that have for other people that work hard and choose not to engage in such behavior? . What would that say about the value of intimate human interaction.

If you use sex to get ahead, you're not meeting the need you should be satisfying, but instead meeting an irrelevant one. That is definitely not a fair trade.
Furthermore, people tend to lose the ability to think rationally when confronted with the one of the strongest urges humans have: the urge to reproduce through sexual activity. Therefore, whoever you took advantage of using your sexual attractiveness would likely regret it afterwards.
Some would call it opportunism but our society is based on opportunism and therefore I have to say that there is not much wrong with using sex to get ahead, with the condition that it is really good sex...lol.
Unless you are looking for a promotion in the prostitution or stripper businesses, sex will get you nowhere but with people who only look skin deep. You may think that having sex with people will get you places, but it wont last long

Yup... Alot of people view their body as a Tool and not a Temple and after you use the same tool for a while it gets old and u have to replace it. Your temple is pricelist.

WOW! Well said, but sadly most ppl aren't interested in working their way to the top. Instant gratification is what they are after and for me personally it just takes away the sweetness of achieving something when you know you didn't work hard to get it.
